I have had first-hand experience of difficulties with food and health over many years. I have been overweight, experimented with every diet that’s out there, been to all the slimming clubs, lost weight, put it back on and some more!
I have been on a journey of learning and change in recent years and over time have discovered how science is uncovering what’s going on with the food we eat today.
As a busy working mother with 4 children, I have had struggles with health, gut conditions, high cholesterol, constipation, fatigue, perimenopause and lack of energy.
I had never considered thinking about food and its affects on my body inside and out, other than my clothes size. Slowly becoming aware of problems cropping up later in life, affecting not only how I looked but how I felt, I decided to pay more attention to my health. Reading a wealth of science backed articles, data and research I have learned how powerful food is.
Eating well, focusing on better sleep habits and regular movement has been life changing for me.
Training
I have completed a NCFE CACHE Level 2 training qualification in Understanding Nutrition and Health (Ofqual regulated). I have equipped myself with a better understanding of good health and well-being.
I have a holistic approach to health and use wellness practices in my life to provide long term changes.
Meditation, positive mindset, hypnosis, yoga and breathwork are useful techniques that provide peace and change for optimal health. I would love to share these with you as part of your journey.
